View of the main yard
with future passenger terminal and freight yard. Locomotive servicing
will de done on the tracks that reach the turntable, just as in Valle de
Mexico. Note that most equipment is already sporting Mexican paint
schemes |

Critical part of the
design was the helix needed to operate in two very distinct levels, so
as to be able to skip most of the windows. With a 18" radius and a 3%
grade, tests proved successful. Unfortunately all the wood structure
will be have to be replaced because of a quality problem. |

Before planning the
caboose project, we had the opportunity of visiting most of the
beautifully restored rail cars at
Camp Santa Ursula, near
San Luis Potosi. Note the different approach taken over the lighting
issue, which we only understood after evaluating the pictures taken
during the visit. This is one of their cabooses. |
